Also am happy to note that the index was back again. I must say - am not sure what I actually did.
I think I let the index (blanc) open - just like that - more or less waiting for feedback here.
Then went on with some other things and somewhere I needed to close X1 and rebooted.
Anyway, it is back.
Will remember your advice to use Exit.
Sofar, for v7 I used he [X] in the righthand topcorner and for v6.7.4 I used to right-click on the taskbar button, select Exit.

whom to contact for changing my email address (board profile).
I can change my pw, but not my email address.
Regretfully I donot see a way to send a pm to any of the admins.
