This does make me very sad to hear though. Why companies make changes that result in MORE clicks to use their software, I have no idea. I can easily type my search term into the deskbar from any program, and then get the result. If I upgrade to the new version, I now have to open the software to use it, which requires me to switch back and forth between two programs to get my search term correctly entered (and verified).
Microsoft, Google, now X1 -- I do not understand why these companies are making changes to software that takes away many of the fast actions that could be done with earlier versions of the same. Don't get me started on the abomination that is Excel compared to versions from 10 years ago. 5-10 clicks for what I use to could do in 1 or 2.
