You have to go to the odd looking set "of parallel bars" to the left of the columns. (When it is in the mood, not always, X1 will show the "balloon" Select Search Fields.) Then you can add the columns you want.

In a very very counter-intuitive place - Menu->License->License Info - the caption of the dialog should show the version.
