Launching X1 does nothing

Yes, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but with the same results.

I also looked at the install log file and found no errors - in fact at the end of the log it said it was installed correctly.

I found another unrelated post where a suggestion was made to validate the .net setup using a Microsoft tool. I did that as well, but am still unable to launch X1 8. I've been waiting a long time for 64-bit support (as have many others) so I'd really like to try this. I'm reluctant to uninstall 6.7.4 though.

X1 beta folks - any suggestions?
