I am on Win7 64bit. I have completly uninstalled 7 beta (as per instructions) and fresh installed 8 beta, everything went well and the index started building. I have ~100Gb in various data files, ~45Gb of mail spread accross various PST files, one in near 12Gb. I am using Outlook 2010 32bit with the new (upto 16Gb) large PST file support...
At some point, presumably after the index is fully built, the X1 Search app becommes unresponsive, nothing wakes it up even leaving it to itself over night does not wake it up. If I kill/restart the X1 search it is still unresponsive; doing this also impacts outlook as soon after Outlook Crashes. When Outlook restarts it cannot open its PST files because they are open by another process. Stopping the X1 indexing service resolves this and I can startup Outlook, but the core issue with the X1 Search app remains...
I previously had issues with 6.x and the early 7 beta releases, the last 7 beta release did not have this problem. Given that this is a clean install of the 8 beta I am guessing that it is built upon the improvements from previous releases.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is causing this?
