A default feature of "Show emails only once" would be awesome !!!! But it should be possible to turn it off. For instance, sometimes I intentionally put the same email into several folders.
If the feature is ever implemented, the one email that is displayed should be flagged as duplicate. maybe an asterisk, or maybe the number of emails inside a fancy icon of some sort.
By the way, I have written my own email de-duplicator and I speak from experience when I say it is NOT EASY. Especially when the same email can arrive by different paths sometimes fields like Date Received might be different, and the bodies of the duplicates might have different control characters.
