Under specify file types to be content indexed - Text (.asc .text .txt) is selected to be content indexed.
Both GEB.pdf and GEB.txt appear in a selected "ArtsLiterature" Microsoft subdirectory, yet when I search for "canon" or "fugue" or whatever, the search only works with the .pdf file.
I have listed parts of GEB.txt and both "canon" and "fugue" appear many times, but GEB.txt and its contents are not found in the search.
Both GEB.pdf and GEB.txt are complete versions of the 777 pages of Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid.
Copies of subject files and jpgs of settings are available if you need them for debugging.
