x1 Pro7 not indexing any item

i've done just that: actually,
1. i've removed the YDS, (successfully, thanks to revo uninstaller, that's one of a killer, that erases just EVERYTHING)
2. then couldn't use the pro7-beta.
3. Frustrated, as you could picture yourself, i've tried a succession of removing it (the pro7-beta), re-installing it, re-booting - you name it
4. that's where i've got the idea to chat with you gents, hoping you'll enlighten me around...

all in all, the point i can't catch is why is it working on one machine perfectly fine, but it can't be working on the other one? is there any problem with 64bits OS (win7)? something you could spot in the above...

BTW - both the YDS and the pro-beta are working fine on my work-dedicated machine (the one i am using just now).

Any other clue? anyone?
