We downloaded an earlier version (6.7.x) that appeared to work in a demo mode on our virtual server. I decided to purchase a license. I purchased a license and received a LIcense ID & password.
When trying to register my copy it only asked for a key.
SO I contacted support and they asked me to download X8 and install that.
When I attempted to install that on the virtual desktop, it warned me that Outlook was running. I closed outlook and it still gave the same message. Most likely because other users were running outlook. When I sent email(s) to support, they go unanswered. It's been 5 days.
Does anyone know how (or if it's even possible) to install Search8 on a virtual desktop and get around the Outlook running warning?
If I do get it installed, will it only be installed under my user name and only get to my outlook, or, will it get messed up by the desktops of others running on the same server?
We're running W7 client machines on a 2008 SP2 server.
