Does 8.2 work in Windows Vista?

My version of X1 8.1.1 prompts me to update it to 8.2. But if I say yes it warns that my version of Windows (Vista) doesn't support it.

Is this true? Were there enough serious changes between 8.1.1 and 8.2 to kill Vista in some way?
