Hotkey triggers X1 even when the option is disabled

I am using X1 8.2 Build 5001dv (64-bit)

I have set the hotkey option to 'No Hotkey' yet every time I hit [ctl] twice it launches X1 or brings it into focus even if I am using another application. Extremely annoying. The same happens even if I set the Hotkey to the other option [Ctl+Al+L] -- even then, [ctl-ctl] triggers X1.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks.
