Suggestion: New features - search using synonyms

Someone else suggested it before (way back in 2003) and I have been thinking about this a while already.

Because I would not know how exactly it should be implemented/how it would work, I regulary started off to write a thread about, but then dropped the idea again.

Well, I'll give it a try - it is a big thing, a very 'rough' idea and I don't know if it can be done anyhow.

Right now, search strings are fairly exact, I mean: X1 finds the exact words you are looking for.
In case the matter you are looking for is there, but in other words, then most probably X1 won't find it.

Say, there is an option to use synonyms (English and native language).

One might search for (e.g.) : convert whatever
But what if 'convert whatever' is not found, but 'change whatever' does exists?
It would be nice if change whatever was found then.
At least it gets me near what I am looking for.

Sure the search would take longer.

X1 would then have to include libraries of synonyms.

Again, it is a very (I mean very) rough idea and really I would not know how this should be done,
from a technical point of view.
