This has come up here before. The trouble with the "visit the forum" message comes when you try to find relevant messages here. If you use X1 Search to check the forum, the term "error preventing installation" will find various results.

Where did you get the link from? Did you try more than once?
Sadly, you are a victim of an issue that some of us, well me at least, find incredibly frustrating, X1's refusal to provide a link that downloads the whole installation package.
Failed to install, starting all over again
So you can't even use one PC to get the files for installation on another one, despite the licence terms allowing dual laptop/PC installations.
If you are prepared to try it, maybe the beta version will be more successful.
