What does "Store Outlook Email body in the index" do?

HI,

As the subject mentions, what does the Outlook option of "Store Outlook Email body in the index" do? Is this needed in order to search the body of an email? I checked this and not sre if it is related to this, but most of my search results for in Outllook related items show duplicated results.
