Same thing for me.
x1_pro_client_dotNet_4054dh (V6.7) installs happily on clean Win7 (as a test) - but not on my box - it was working just fine - then I needed to do a reinstall as I was 'playing around' and it just won't run after re-install...tried lots of older versions, tried all various XP etc compatibility modes - nothing works. Same thing as others reporting about it in this thread. Win7 x64
I was going to try to work out what I've installed (since Jan) - as that was when this box was first installed...but I gave in...and just bought V8. This works fine.
I liked the older version as it was able to still index Eudora (yeah, I know) - but it doesn't do it as great as old trusty V3.01 - which still is the quickest and best for Eudora. So, V3 and V8 run fine side by side. I did like V6.7 but alas, not for me (unless I rebuild this PC, or revert to a backup which I'd rather not do at the moment).
**EDIT (5+ hours later)...I stand corrected - V8 doesn't work with MobileConnect - which is kind of strange - and I can't wait for this to be released whenever it is meant to be...so, I rolled back to a previous OS image. All is back to normal, with old 6.7.4 and happily running again with mobile etc. Thanks X1 for allowing me the opportunity to test my backup/restore procedures, which I hadn't yet needed to implement, until now.
