Adding file extensions for content indexing

With X1 Professional, I was successfully able to add .SQL and .LOG files to the list of file types being indexed for content -- something extremely useful in writing and evaluating various types of database queries. I have tried to do the same thing with X1 Search 8.0.1 by going into the Edit Data Source dialog box, then into the Specify File Types dialog under Content Indexing Option and entering both file extensions. Unfortunately, I have not yet succeeded in indexing the content for these two file types. Content indexing does seem to be working normally for other types of files (e.g., .DOCX, .TXT, .XML, .PDF).

I have tried several different things to initiate content indexing for these file types, including (1) deleting the Files index and rebuilding it from scratch, (2) renaming the folders. Regardless of whatever I have tried thus far, the "Indexing Status" for these two file types remains as "File extension is not selected for content indexing". I am working on a Windows 7 64-bit machine with 16 GB of RAM.

Has anyone else encountered difficulties in adding file extensions for content indexing? Has anyone else succeeded in indexing the content of SQL files? Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,
Brian
