Announcing X1 Search 8 Beta build 4333in

Hello X1 community,

Thanks so much for your active participation in our beta community. We have received a lot of great feedback from these community threads, as well as the in-product ‘Send Feedback’ button. As we mentioned at the outset, we aim to respond to every ‘Send Feedback’ submission, as well as actively participate with you in the community threads. So, if you have not heard back from us, please know we are working to respond as quickly as possible.

Today we are happy to announce a new Search 8 build, containing a fix to the UI hanging many of you reported. You can download the newest version, 4333in, here: http://support.x1.com/cs/X1SearchSetup.exe or you can follow the in-product prompts, or scroll to Help>Check for Updates.

The three primary fixes:

• Prevent reported product freeze on initial launch and periodically during runtime.
• Fix an intermittent crash in the preview pane.
• Prevent ActiveX popup dialog when previewing some emails.
