Storing index file on SSD vs Sata HD

All,

Just installed the X1 Pro 7 PB (4320kg) on Windows 8 with Office 2013 on my laptop.... so far so good and i like the new interface. One question about index file location. I have 2 drives in my laptop. The main drive C:\ is a 256GB SSD and E:\ a secondary data drive 500GB Sata drive. Is it better to place the index file on the main C:\ drive for speed or the E:\ drive as it wont interfere with OS disk activity?
