Hi Chris,
Sorry for the confusion. You are correct, I have both installed, v.6.7.4 and v.7
X1FileMonitor.exe: taskmanager-processes open location folder and I end up in the X1 v6 folder
X1MasterService.exe: You are right (of course) that this one resides in v.7 folder.
I wrongly assumed they both were v6 because I have tagged "Shutdown indexing on application close" in v7.
When X1 v6 wasn't running, i.e. only v7 was running, when closing v7, the containerfile could be closed without problems (at least sofar).
As the container file could be closed, after closing v7, I wrongly assumed that the services that are still running, could only be v6-ones.
Am sorry there is no such thing as unloading services.
I have untagged in X1 v6
1. Load X1 at startup,
2.Show X1 icon and
3. Check for new version and after closing
to see what remains, it looks as though now some other service is remaining in memory.
previously just 2 now 3.

Later: weird . . .
After UNtagging the items in v6 (see above)
After closing both v6 and v7
After waiting for a while (say 10-15 minutes)
After launching v7 again
v7 does not display anything at all: 1. Load X1 at startup, 2.Show X1 icon and 3. Check for new version and after closing both v6 and v7 and after relauching v7, v7 does nót display anything anymore!
No files, no mails, no preview, nothing, totally blanc. . .

Didn't do anything else.
Guess have to build up the index from scratch again...
