Registration Code

I have what I thought was a valid registration code but now X1 6.2 is timing out (down to 3 days) - if I enter the code and click OK nothing happens - no error to say invalid but it does not seem to do anything. If I enter rubbish for the code I do get an error - so how do I tell if my code is really valid or not????
