Can X1 Index Websites Referred in Favorites Folder?

In general, not all favorites are bookmarks, not all bookmarks you save are favorites. Are you trying to differentiate between different types of bookmark?

Searching bookmarks referred to in the favorites folder works only if you bookmark – a better way to think of this idea than the word favorites – every site you visit and want to remember. And limiting the search to bookmarked pages means that you will miss data on sites that you visit but do not bookmark.

If you want to search for content, then you need X1 to search your browser's cache. This is complicated because no two browsers use the same way of storing the cache, or the bookmarks. We still don't know which browser you use. It probably makes a difference. You will then be able to work out how the browser saves its cached data.

Then there is the issue of how long files stay in the cache. They can get cleared from time to time, unless you deliberately save the data. If there is no reference to the page in the cache, then X1 can't find it.

My approach to what you require is to use a website grabber – I use Local Website Archive – and to ask X1 to search that.

Local Website Archive saves data as html files. I use X1 to interrogate this stuff all the time.
