SharePoint 2013 - Search returns results from all SharePoint

I have installed the new release and individually listed the Clients I want to search in.

For example:
I named the data source 'SharePoint'.
Then I added the sub-sites e.g.

Clients
- Client 1
- Client 2
- etc.

I can now search within a sub-site e.g. 'Client 2'.
What I had expected was that if I searched at 'Clients' level, then X1 would only search within my sub-sites.
It actually searches across all clients within 'Clients'.
Whereas I only want to search across my (say) 20 sub-sites, I get search results for a few hundred Sharepoint sites.
