X1 Search 8.3 Public Beta (Build 5001lf)

Hello beta group!

We have just posted a refresh for the X1 Search 8.3 beta.

To upgrade (or if you are installing for the first time) please use the following link:

http://download.x1.com/downloads/pro/beta_8_3/X1SearchSetupBeta.exe

If you are running a version prior to 8.X, we recommend uninstalling your older X1 Search client before installing this beta.

NOTE: This build will expire on 11/1/14. All beta users will need to upgrade to the GA version prior to this date to continue using X1 Search. You will receive an in-app notification when we release the GA version.

Release Notes

New Features

* Added carry-over of search terms to brokered searches if field is empty (SharePoint, Rapid)
* Added ability to send SharePoint items via email as a link via "Send by Email" PSA
* Removed "Get More Columns" option for SharePoint searches
* Updated Read/Unread email icon for Outlook and IMAP

Bug Fixes

* Fixed a SharePoint issue that prevented root site from being added if one of its subsites was previously added
* Corrected message when adding a SharePoint subsite
* Fixed an issue that was causing some subsites to not be displayed when browsing
* Fixed an issue that could lead to X1 services taking too long to shut down
