I had a further chat with Tech Support - and whilst it was a prompt and nice chat - it ultimately didn't help the situation.
All I can suggest is that everyone (who is interested) get in touch with Tech Support (as a support ticket) so that may get some attention within X1.
I suggested they reboot the AWS service.
Bad news is that it seems the new "improved" mobile product has slipped a year, from late 2013, to late 2014 - so, you know what that means.
I can't see any good reason why they are letting things die - just weird.
