It would indeed. This has been my experience since the beginnings of version 8. We were promised various fixes, but they didn't stick.
It has been reported here several times. This is one of the errors I see:

As a result, I have turned off "Start X1 when I start Windows". But I do tell it to start the X1 Indexing Service in the hope that it will continue to index, and doesn't have to wait for me to start the program itself.
