I know I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I have this problem as well.
I set my PST files to read-only so that once set they can be backed up online. However, each time X1 accesses them and changes the date, the backup program thinks they're new files and backs them up online again. The problem here is that I have some 10 years of emails archived and it takes many, many hours to back up these files which haven't, essentially, changed.
How can I stop this? I'm using X1 6.2 - would upgrading to the latest version solve this?
