I have been using x1 since its inception (10+ years). Still love it, but Version 8 was a regression from past veresions because it used 1) a large, wide font and 2) very loose line spacing in the results window. Even with a 1920x1080 screen at full resolution, I get only about 60% of the vertical results I got in former versions. And can view only about 60% of what I used to be able to read in a column width.
The whole idea of x1 is to return as many valid results as possible in the shortest amount of time. What's the point of getting those results quickly and then displaying fewer of them than is possible?
Please, please, please, allow us to use a narrower font with denser line spacing. I want to be able to see reasonably sized columns for the To: line, the From: line, the Subject line, the Date, the Size, the Type, the Folder, plus a preview pane -- I used to able to do it in previous versions, no problem.. Right now, if you try to do that, you can get about 10 characters in each column, and it is difficult to interpret the results.
