Hello,
In the past, some of our beta users have asked for a method to make re-installation or installation on additional, licensed computers possible without having to re-download the install files. Below are steps for accomplishing this with a given build.
This is not a recommended install process. Only users with significant connection problems to the X1 download servers should consider following these steps. We recommend you instead use the regular installer.
Requirements
* You must download and install the desired build at least one time to get access to the files needed for these steps.
* If you are re-installing the same build you are currently running, you will need to uninstall X1 from the Windows Programs and Features control panel.
Steps to allow for local installation
Final Note: If you're installing on an additional machine with a different bitness than the original machine, this will not work. You'll instead need to use the regular installer.
Again, this is not a recommended installation method.
Thanks!

Requirements

* If you are re-installing the same build you are currently running, you will need to uninstall X1 from the Windows Programs and Features control panel.
Steps to allow for local installation
- Download and install the build using the regular beta installer, found here: http://forums.x1.com/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=9121
- Browse to the AppData temp folder. This should be in C:\Users\[YOURUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Temp
- Locate the temp install file. This will be a zip file formatted like this: tmpXXXXtmp.zip, where XXXX is a random value. Note: Make sure you are using the most recent tmpXXXXtmp.zip file, as there are likely multiple versions from past installs.
- Verify the bitness of your install by viewing the contents of the zip. You'll see either X1_PRO_32.msi or X1_PRO_64.msi
- Copy this zip file to a folder or network share where you wish to have it for future installs. It must be in a subfolder with the build # you installed. Examples: C:\x1files\5001cn or \\share\x1files\5001cn
- Rename the tmpXXXXtmp.zip file to pro32.zip or pro64.zip (depending on the result of step 4)
- You can now run the installer locally using this file in a command prompt (Start > Run > CMD)
- At the command prompt, navigate to folder where x1searchsetupbeta.exe was saved
- At the command prompt, enter: x1searchsetupbeta.exe URL="location of install zip"
- Example: x1searchsetupbeta.exe URL="c:\x1Install\5001cn"
Final Note: If you're installing on an additional machine with a different bitness than the original machine, this will not work. You'll instead need to use the regular installer.
Again, this is not a recommended installation method.
Thanks!
