I have wasted a HUGE amount of time getting 8.1 to work and it still does not function properly on any machine I have installed it on. This experiment is over. I have submitted case after case with no beneficial result. I have now gone so far as to buy and install the 64 bit version of Office 2013 and along the way acquired a subscription to Office 365 on top of nearly every edition of Office. I have two MS Exchange accounts that must be indexed as well as a raft of old PST files. I don't need to index GMail.
I would appreciate some insight into getting out of the mess I am in. How do I get rid of 8.1 and go back to 6.7.4? Which version of Office do I need? Can I index both my exchange accounts? I know I was indexing both accounts with an earlier version of 32-bit Office & Outlook in 6.7.4, but I'm not sure if that will work with the 64 bit version of Office 2013. I think not. Will it work with 32-bit Office 365? That would be great as I have the subscription.
