Outlook commands not working

Hi
If I mark an E-Mail and either right-click or use the toolbar to open, reply or any of the other commands related to Outlook, nothing happens for a while, X1 freezes and the message is not opened (replied to window,...). The focus just returns to X1 after one minute
I am using 8.1.1 and Outlook 2013/32bit (on a 64bit machine).
