Windows Search "AND" X1

Any using Windows Search concurrently with X1?

I'm running X1 Search 8.1 and typically turn off windows search from services. I had some problems with Outlook 2013 searching contacts from the Mail screen (F11). Turning Windows search back on fixed this.

Was wondering if I need to turn it back off after the initial index.

Have a fairly stout machine: i7, 32gigs RAM, SSD etc...
