Can you check the "bitness" of Outlook and X1?
The original problem seemed to be that X1's hopeless delivery system saw 64-bit Windows and delivered 64-bit X1, regardless of the bitness of Outlook.
Check that your version of X1 matches Outlook (which version?) and Windows (which version?).
If your Outlook is 32-bit (File Help) for Outlook 2010) then your X1 program should be here C:\Program Files (x86)\X1 Search. If it is here C:\Program Files\X1 Search then you have a mismatch.
