For your current situation the best thing to do is to reinstall You may have a previously downloaded X1SearchSetup.exe which should work to install the 8.1.1 released product or you can download the latest versions of X1 by logging into your X1 support portal, http://www.x1.com/support/x1_search.html. Click the Login Button in the upper right portion of the page.
You log into the portal with your email and your X1 Support Portal password. If you have forgotten your password to the portal, use the Forgot Password link found in the Log In screen to have X1 send it to your email address.
Once inside the portal, click on the appropriate link located in the lower, left-hand corner.
