new behavior today: at step 2 of "Add Secure Connection" on PC app, after 3 minutes a 9-digit number appears which is to be copied onto the iPhone app. No pairing happens when you do that, but after 3 more minutes the PC app provides another 9-digit number, and so on. No pairing ever happens.
