Failure trying to connect to SharePoint

can you perform searches directly in the Sharepoint web interface?

can you contact a Sharepoint server administrator and ask whether Anonymous authentication is enabled on the IIS where Sharepoint is hosted?
If Anonymous authentication is enabled, it may prevent Sharepoint from properly receiving NTLM authentication token from our application, so it needs to be disabled.
