X1 8.0.1 triggering no default mail client error message

Checking the Outlook version provided by Lenovo (it was a packaged deal) and my OL 2013 is a 32-bit version. I can't quite see how to tell if X1 is 32 or 64 bit as the SW companies have done a nice job of hiding the "about" button.

How would I know if X1 matches OL in bitness?
