Hi
Please make the "search as you type" become optional.
I don't mind it being the default, as it probably works well for most users, but for some of us it's a nightmare.
BACKGROUND
I have a Win7 x64 PC running 8GB of ram on a less than half-full 256GB SSD. I have documents folder of about 2.5GB. I have an email archive of 11GB of Outlook2010 .PST files and a 2GB .OST file. And quite often X1 trips up an pauses if you type too fast. It can pause for three or four seconds in this way. And it doesnt even show you what you've actually typed during this period. So I would MUCH prefer for it WAIT before showing any results until I've finished typing (i.e. there is a pause of say 2 seconds between keystrokes) OR wait for the user to hit Enter.
If X1 was *really* clever it would know (in real time?) when it was being overwhelmed and would switch off the "search as you type" function.
Trying help
