Just wondering what you mean by "the next release". Is this, say, X1 Search 9 to come out a few years from now? Or, hopefully, the next bug fix release sometime soon? I have purchased the product, but cannot install it because of the proxy problem. I am willing to try a workaround, but it looks like there is none.
